Project: high concept skateboard brand
Client: self-led
Agency: n/a
Platform was an attempt to create a 100% UK skate brand. The driving force was to try and create an aesthetic that eschewed the 'skate' vernacular that is seen so often in international skate companies.
The first (and only) board concept was a tribute piece to the Tricorn Shopcentre in Portsmouth UK, a shining light of 1960s Brutalist architecture that in a dilapidated state became a beacon for the Pompey skate and graf community.
Sadly the project is now defunct as it proved not to be a commercial success, artiscally however it was a banger and is now featured in the new graphic design coffee table book 'Made & Sold', the deck is even on the back cover...
